TABBOULEH

Its a classical dish from Lebanon. Tabbouleh is traditionally served as a part of Mezze in the Arab world. It is traditionally made up of Onion, Tomato, Parsley, Bulgur, Lemon & Olive oil . Some people use cous cous instead of bulgur. This is a variation to the classical preparation. It is served cold.and not chilled. It is very easy to make and less time consuming still delicious when you eat. Here is my recipe for Tabbouleh.
INGREDIENTS:-

1. Onion---------------------1 nos
2. Tomato--------------------1 nos
3. Parsley--------------------100gms
4.Bulgur/ Broken Wheat-------5 gms
5. Lemon juice----------------1 nos
6. Salt-----------------------as required
7. Olive oil------------------as required

METHOD:-

1.Chop onions, tomatoes and parsley finely.

NOTE: TRY USING FLAT PARSLEY BECAUSE IT HAS MORE FLAVOR.

2. Soak broken wheat/bulgur in hot water.

3. In a mixing bowl mix onion, tomato, parsley, soaked broken wheat, salt, olive oil and lemon juice.

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU MIX INGREDIENTS JUST BEFORE SERVING SO THAT IT STAYS FRESH AND DOESN'T DISCOLOUR DUE TO THE EFFECT OF LEMON ON PARSLEY.

4. Serve cold and not chilled. It is usually served as a part of Mezze in the Arab world .
