VILLAGE, KANDIVALI

Every person has his/her ancestor from village. That is where we get our culture and values from & thats the reason we exist. India is known for the same. Now a days we hardly get time to visit our village / native place due to work pressure and other priorities. But we can surely spare some time from our busy schedule & experience of being at village by visiting this restaurant.
I vistied this place with my family & trust me it's worth visiting.

Cost - 400/450Rs per person
Type - Buffet
Theme - Village

AMBIENCE -
As soon as you enter there's a protype of a truck where you can sit and click pictures. Once you enter the restaurant you have a huge people tree, where you can find a typical shop of bangle's and necklaces which you get in village markets at economical rates. Then you have a jyotish who seems very talented ( 30Rs for 3 questions and 100Rs for entire hand reading) & a card reader. Then you have a potter who makes pot in front of you using wheel and clay, even you can make with his help and trust me that guy is very talenetd in his work. Siting arrangement is like a typical punjabi dhaba. You even have games to play like musical chair which always is entertaining for children and elder people.I did win but there's no prize for it...dats a draw back :p. You have a small area where people dance and play garba which is quit entertaining.

FOOD:-
Now coming to the main part which is food. As soon as you enter you have a welcome drink which is quite refreshing. We were served some orange and litchi sherbet. Then you have a chat counter, where they serve pani puri, sev puri, ragda patice and many more. Who doesnt love chaat? obviously this counter is most crowded. Then you have a live counter for dosa( plain and masala dosa with chutney and sambhar), pav bhaji which tastes good, live farsaan counter( best was the fried samosa and kothimbir wadi). Then you have a huge spread of food starting from salad, curries, dal to biryani. The highlight of that day was dal bati, veg jalfrezi & live gola counter.Gola is something which we always carve for and they do have the famous flavours like kala khatta and kacchi kairi. They have a good selection of breads like naan, roti, fulka, bajre ki bhakri & chilla. The most shocking thing, they had a chinese option but it was average according to me & it didnt stand out as much as other things did. Unnecessary addition to the buffet. For dessert we had gulab jamun and jalebi which was good. They even had a pan counter where different type of pan were served but was charged individually.

Conclusion- It's worth visiting again, the overall experience is good. Its a place where you should visit with group of 4 or 5 and not individually
