PENNE ARRABIATA

Its a Italian pasta dish, with pasta  & spicy tomato sauce. The word Arrabiata literally means "angry" in Italian. It got its name because of the spicyness in the red chilli pepper. The sauce is made up of Garlic, tomato & red pepper chilli cooked in olive oil.

This pasta is on the menu of almost every western restaurant in India. Combination of garlic, chilli & tomato is bang on. And it definately matches the flavor profile of most individuals. Its easy to make & yummy in taste.


INGREDIENTS:-

1. Olive oil
2. Garlic
3. Red chilli pepper
4. Tomato sauce
5. Parsley
6. Basil
7. Butter
8. Penne pasta
9. Salt

METHOD:-

1. Cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water. (let it have a bite)

2. Meanwhile heat pan add olive oil, saute garlic & chopped chilli for a minute.( do not brown it)

3. Then add tomato sauce & little vegetable stock, let it simmer for around 5 mins So that all the flavours combine well.

4. Add in the cooked pasta & basil, toss it for 2-3 mins till the sauce coats the pasta nicely.


5. Adjust seasoning, finish it with unsalted butter & chopped parsley.

6. Check seasoning & serve hot with olive oil drizzle.

NOTE:- YOU CAN ADD VEGETABLES TO THIS PASTA ACCORDING TO YOUR PREFERENCE.
