SPHAGHETTI AGLIO E OLIO

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is a traditional Italian pasta dish. Spaghetti Aglio e Olio literally means spaghetti with garlic and oil (Olive Oil).

SPAGHETTI:-
It is a long,thin,cylindrical pasta.It means little strings.Of all pasta shapes spaghetti is the most versatile. Spaghetti is available in 2 forms - Fresh and dried/packet pasta. One of the best way to serve spaghetti is with this simplest of sauce which takes just few minutes to prepare.



The dish classically includes Garlic, Olive oil, Pasta and Chopped Parsley. Another variation for this dish is spaghetti Aglio e olio Peperoncino,  same preparation but with the addition of red chilli flakes



INGREDIENTS:-

1. Spaghetti(uncooked)----110gms
2. Garlic-----------------3 cloves sliced
3. Olive Oil----------------2 tsp
4. Parsley----------------5 gms
5. Chilli flakes(for peperoncino)-2 gms
6. Salt-------------------as per taste

METHOD:-

1. Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water, stirring occasionaly untill cooked through but firm to bite.
Water : Pasta : Salt (1lit : 100gm : 10gm)

2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan.Add garlic(chillies if making aglio e olio peperoncino) & saute till cooked but not brown.

3. Drain the pasta, turn it into the pan & add parsley. Fry for 1 minute, tossing the pasta all the time.

4. Check seasoning & serve hot. Serve grated parmesan or pecoring by side      
    (optional).


NOTE:-
Some people use butter to create emulsion so that pasta is coated with the sauce.
